How to study the night before an exam
Cramming is not the best way to learn, but sometimes it is the only time left. If that is tonight, the goal is not to learn everything. It is to learn the most important parts, test yourself on them, and still get enough sleep to remember them tomorrow.

Why it works
- You cannot cover everything, so choosing what to learn matters most
- Testing yourself is faster than rereading, even tonight
- Sleep is when the brain stores what you learned
- A short plan beats a long night of panic
How to do it
Get the overview first
Turn the material into notes in Memo and open the mind map. In ten minutes you know what the exam can ask.
Learn the core, not the details
Read the notes' main points and key definitions. Skip what is clearly minor.
Test yourself, fast
Do the quiz and a round of flashcards. Reread only what you missed.
Stop and sleep
Stop at a fixed time and sleep at least six hours. In the morning, one more short round of flashcards.

Questions
Is it better to stay up all night or sleep?
Sleep. A tired brain recalls much worse, and sleep is when what you studied gets stored. A few hours of focused study and a proper night beat an all-nighter.
